Micky says...The power of water

A couple of weeks back, I posted a blog about Earth water, and got some great responses. Some people were stating that bottled water is bad for the environment and I agree. But if you need to get bottled water then at least get Earth water because they do help the refugees.

I really love water. If there is one drink I can always drink, it's water!

It seems to be really good to drink a lot right after you wake up. Before you do anything else, drink water and it really cleans your system.

But water is special in many more ways. I read the book ‘The Power of Water’ by doctor Masaru Emoto. Dr Emoto exposed music, spoken words, typed words, pictures and videos to water, after it was crystallized. The water’s response was truly majestic.

If thoughts can do that to water, imagine what our thoughts can do to us.

Knowing that our body contains up to 75% water.

So hey, why don’t we rename Earth water, ‘LOVE water’. After all, what the world needs now is love… sweet love.

Mickey, sweetie, the problem is that not all waters are equal: for example only Evian tastes good for me, so no matter what are moral reasons, I can only drink Evian.

Ik proef het verschil niet, drink net zo lekker water uit de kraan, als t maar lekker koud is.

"Dr Emoto exposed music, spoken words, ..[etc] .. to water".

Actually, he did (if he did anything at all) exactly the opposite: he exposed crystallized water (that's ice!) to music, spoken words, etc etc.

Anyway: The US has its fair share of charlatans, frauds, tricksters, con artists and criminals who write books and travel the country with shows, 'demos' and 'lectures' trying to convince you of the miracles of their free energy devices, or whatever miraculous device it is, that they, and this is their actual motive, try to sell you or get your money for, for "further development".

MANY people like this travel the US. It apparently is a VERY lucrative business.

"Dr" Emoto is one of those people.

Don't fall for the scientifically sounding (to non-scientists, that is) numbo jumbo, nor for his wild idiotic claims.

Water is water, and while it has some fantastic properties, being able (frozen or not) to listen to kind words, good music and poetry is not part of them. Period.

May I suggest the next book you get from the library is one on developing critical thinking skills? It will open a whole new world for you (and probably save you some money too!). One of the many books on that subject that comes to mind is Michael Shermer's "Why people believe weird things". Or else: start reading all Carl Sagan's books! You will learn a lot and love doing it.

( I wrote a blog post on Dr Emoto back in 2007: http://paulclaessen.com/blog/?p=61 )

Kind regards,

@Comic Strip Blogger: "only Evian tastes good for me, ... , I can only drink Evian."

And I claim that you can not, consistently, pick Evian out of even a modest line-up of unmarked, equal looking glasses of water, all of the same temperature.

Wanna bet? ;-)

(and even if you don't take my bet, you should actually TRY this (with someone's help, to make it a double blind test). You may learn something about yourself. Something that may save you money ;-)
