I suck when it comes to making a decision. I think about the pro’s and con’s and can deliberate for hours on what to do. Call my friends and ask them. Nag Adam about it and ask his opinion. Dismiss his opinion and then feel insecure about making my own again.
My mind keeps asking the same question. What if I’m wrong?;)
I have been dealing with this problem for as long as I can remember. I do know the right thing to do when it comes to other people’s problems and questions they have about life. But when it’s about me, I’m lost.
In the past I spend a lot of time about this matter with my shrink. She told me I had a low self-esteem and needed to trust in who I am and what I can do. Paid 60 bucks an hour for that. J
Almost 40, I should finally figure out what to do with the effects that some gene implanted character skills of mine have on my life.
I guess this is the problem: I think too much.
My dear friend Robert gave me this amazing tool. He said; when you have a big question about a certain event coming up and you don’t know if it’s good for you, just stand still, close your eyes and ask the question to yourself. When your body leans forward it’s positive, when your body leans back and feels like it’s shrinking, it’s a definite NO.
Easy does it!

Micky, state of mind is everything and ultimately you decide, don't let other push you.
My advice: yes, try to have child as it is literally latest months when it is possible. Also: stop smoking - unlike Adam who has sh*tty genes as proven by his mother's cancer, you have good genes that can resist smoking, but still you never know. In any case: tell Adam to stop smoking too. U2 should stop.
regarding other decisions: people regret for not-doing things more than doing things, so be brave!
I know shrinks, they are useless. You must be more assertive.

Also, sometimes writing down the question/issue, then reviewing it the next day (or week...) can be revealing.

Here is another exercise, the key to which is above in your post. Try to imagine your circumstances as if they are happening to someone else, to see yourself in the third person. If you were not you, what would you tell you to do?
Beste Micky, Vertrouwen op de juiste beslissing is eigenlijk vertrouwen op jezelf. Nu je 40 bent en kijkt wat je allemaal hebt gedaan, hoe je bezig bent en de persoon die je bent geworden moet je je realiseren dat je het gewoon goed gedaan hebt. Je bent kennelijk altijd goed in staat geweest om goede beslissingen te nemen.
Klaar met de twijfel hoor!

What is it with woman in general and indecisiveness?.Is it a unconcious feeling of guilt, because they live off their boyfriends creditcard all their lives, and only make decisions on what spa to choose-nailcolour this time-dress to buy or what hip place to dine at?

I assume you have a brain and know good from bad.
I hope you don´t consider yourself a counselor on these matters now like so many z°listers, and try to rake in some cash by making a book on their divorce, pregnancy,diet,depression etc.
Tip: get a real daytime job from 9 to 5 like billions of us earthlings around you.You´ll learn what to appreciate in life very soon, and what decisions to take.
And forget all that crap like Chopra, "the Secret", Dr.Phil and all those other experience-psychologists!.
Oh, and my last tip of da day: tone it down a notch with your severe critique on the Dutch in general, moments after leaving your native country!.

I met Adam a few times and must admit he is a down-to-earth and decent kinda guy.
